KTV On February
At 15th Feb. , the outing were held at KTV. It was amazing that decoration of this KTV was a little like a hotel, and the food was also good. In the activity, we could found that every old members of ALE MAX were good at singing and filled with emotion, they also got high very much. Frances’s husband was really a funny person, he put emotion deeply when he sang a song, and he also danced with the music to cheer up every one, when Darlene sang 眉飛色舞, he displayed a outstanding performance, like throwing away his leather belt, clothes etc. At intermission time, every one also drew a lot, it had different kind of theme on the label, like “Sing a song have words about animals in it”…etc. That game was so interesting, because you must invested in brain to find a right song, and every one had chance to sing a song. In the end, we congratulated Herman won the name of best signer, and Frances’s husband was the best dancer. Jessie was my friend, her English was also good than me, I thought she liked this party, too.

February Outing Sharing
I am the outing master of February~Darlene. Today we go to tempo KTV to sing many songs, I am surprised that there are so many singing kings and queens in our club, everyone sings so well that I was so proud of it. Every one has happy 3hrs to sing, and we decide the singing king is Herman and dancing king is Philips, he even dance too hard that his pants are split open.Anyway we had a good time and I hope next will have more guests to join in.

In my opinion, KTV is one of Taiwan's best musical products. The music is both far cry from the pop and quick rhythm. We also have two secret weapons, one is Herman, whose voice is passionated and emotional. Another secret weapon is the Dancing King : Philip Chao (Frances' Husband), with wild and crazy dance.
During the entertainmental hours, every member will get a note from Host mentioned about interesting requests in your lyrics of the song, judging whether the member passed or not.
Absolutely, everyone passed it and enjoyed.

Meeting 134 Report
Date: February 17th, 2009
Venue: Evergreen Hotel
Theme: In club Contest
This time ALE MAX Toastmasters Club hold In Club Contest on International Speech Contest and Table Topic Contest.
International Speech Maters hold by Mayna Chien. Contestants are Jason Wu, Tina Wen, Roger Chen, Lillian Tseng.
Table Topic Contest hold by Newman Chang. Contestants are Alex Sher, Roger Huang, Tina Chang, Yi-Lian Feng, Frances Lee, Yulin Chen.
The winner for International Speech are Tina Wen.
The winner for Table Topic Speech are Yi-Lian Feng.
Congratulations for Tina and Yi-Lian, they will represent as club to attend Area Contest.
Area Contest will be hold by 3/8 in Kaohsiung Medical School at 1:00pm. Please come and show your sport to Tina and Yi-Lian.
It is time to pay your membership fee (April to September). Please next meeting to bring your fee. The due day is March 17th.
Next week (2/24) we will have study gathering in THE Cafe. Topic will be how to be speak on Table Topic.

Meeting 133 Report
Date: February 3rd, 2009
Venue: Evergreen Hotel
Theme: Luna New Year
Toastmasters of Evening held by Fion Chou, who had disappear for long time, and we are happy she came back again. Her question for tonight was “What Luna New Year mean to you”. Some member said that it was a wonderful Holiday, because they can get some rest. Other member said that is was the time to be around the family. Even someone said it was boring vacation, because he couldn’t do anything.
On this meeting as usual, we had three speakers. They did an excellent and wonderful speech. We learned from Frances that no matter want you and to do, just be yourself, also told by Jason that you are the only one who can change your own destiny. Alex played his guitar. The song he played was form the movie and members enjoyed it.
Table Topic master was Herman Hung. He follow the theme to ask question about Luna New Year
1. Which of the New Year you impress most?
2. Where do you recommend traveling during New Year holiday?
3. What thing you like to do most during New Year holiday?
4. What different between this New Year and when you was a child?
General Evaluation was Julie Tsai, who is our senior member. By her leading the evaluator team was doing so well. All the evaluators had point out the speakers good and bad points for speakers and members to learn it.
This meeting we met Frances’s husband, Philip, who is humorist person. He told us why he was not working right now; however at this point there had some job still waiting for him. He was wondering which company to go to for.

02/03/2009 Lanuguage Evaluator's Report
Grammarian: Lillian Tseng
Adverb(副詞) is not necessary to be used in the sentence, but using adverb can modify sentence to make the sentence meaning more clearly.
We divided into 5 situations to represent the usage of adverb.
1. represent "condition"
Ex: They danced "happily".
She took my advice "seriously".
She "quietly" came into the room.
He "carefully" arranged the pieces of puzzle.
2. represent "place"
Ex: My sister went "upstairs".
You can park your car "here".
3. represent "time"
Ex: We have a math test "tomorrow".
You should go the teachers' room immediately.
"Tonight" I have to do my homework.
4. represent "frequency"
Ex: I "always" go to school by bus.
He is "usually" in his office until six o'clock.
I "never" forget what you said.
5. represent "level"
Ex: I "hardly" knew him
I have "almost" finished my homework.
Timer's function or Ah counter's function -> mean to describe the job description of this job title.

A day off -> mean you don't go to work even it is usually working day.

Destiny
Because financial tsunami attack our world so many countries got a big problem in economy, rich man’s property became bubble companies bankrupt and so many workers be unemployed even they have job now they still worry about that they will be the next one, bosses don’t know how to keep their company going employees don’t know how to keep their job and keep their family well so many people got high stress that really make a serious damage in our society.
According to research when people don’t know how to solve problem which way they can go usually most of people will go to ask fortune teller ask for their future, there are some ways that fortune teller use to predict your future such as palm reading 紫微斗數 or 測字, for young man the most popular tool is horoscope, horoscope is similar like紫微斗數 you can know your personality by horoscope then through that to predict your future, some one say your personality design your future.
Dear fellow toastmasters do you believe that? Yes, I believe the saying your personality design your future but I don’t believe horoscope, because so many things can influence your personality. Here is an example, this boy his birthday is 1/14 according to horoscope he is Capricorn Capricorn’s personality are shy hard working stubborn serious traditional practical cruel logical, did he own those characteristics? Yes he did, some elder friends told that when he was a baby he was silent he dislike people to hug him he seldom smile just sat in the baby walker and did not thing judge by his behaviors he was so shy serious and dislike to social, I like this cute boy so much because this kind of baby is so easy to take care just put there give him food then he will grow up by him self you don’t need to spend too much time to take care, this boy was so thoughtful if I have a son like him that will be a luckiest thing in my life, but in the other hand after this boy grow up he might has a big problem because people are social but he dislike social how can he live with people. And he was stubborn nobody can change his mind from his dressing I know he is not a fashionable person because he never change his style so he was not open minded and he was practical he start to mad business from his elementary school student hood because he knew he couldn’t rely on others he need make money for him self, and he was cruel once he grew some vegetables that was organic because he was just a little boy he didn’t know how to use pesticide so the worm ate his vegetables do you know what he did? Yes, he kill the worms but not let them die so easily, he thought I need to revenge I work so hard to grew those vegetables they broke my achievement I must let them die painfully so he catches the worms he broke ants nest ants went out to fond the enemy then he put worms in ants home let ants bite them until they die, this gut was so cruel, you might guess he will be a criminal like 陳進興in the future, you are not 100% wrong because陳進興 was a Capricorn too, but this boy didn’t become a criminal, because this boy is me I am not a criminal now.
When I tell people I am Capricorn no body believe because I am totally different with Capricorn they always ask me, are you joking no body can feel that I am shy I am serious, am I? And am I cruel? No I am so friendly you couldn’t find those characteristics from me, but I admit I am a little stingy most of Capricorns are stingy. You might wonder what happen in my life why could I change a lot. Yes, it must have a lot of things can say, but all in all that main reason is environment, environment changes my personality, for example since my father he likes to move home so I have more chance to stand in front of my classmate to introduce my self such environment forces me to contact with people then I used to talk with people you might think my father he was like 孟母 he moved just want to fond a suitable place let us to grew up, of course not you think too much that just was his habit, and because my life experience and teacher’s educating I am not cruel any more and from society’s problem I knew no body is almighty no body is always right no rule can last forever we should be open minded we have to accept other’s suggestion we need innovation so I am not stubborn now.
Dear fellow toastmasters remember the saying your personality design your future, but environment can changes your personality you just need to find a good environment to change your self then you can change your future, so your destiny is controlled in your hand. And where is the good environment? Toastmaster is, you can see many evidences here this environment changes them a lot, create a great environment let people to grow that is our goal that is what our officer are doing now, dear friends do you enjoy it? If you are satisfied I am so happy about that, but if you are not I know nobody is perfect there still have some weak points need to improve I hope and welcome you to join us let’s do it together to create a better environment, “finding a good environment” is not the only one way what you can do, you also can create the environment for your self and for others.
