<Opening>
        How many different kinds of the photographic functions in your smart phone?
        Have you tried and played all of them?
        Nowadays, we use our cell phone to take pictures frequently, no matter in your birthday celebration, in your journey, or even in the meetings of toastmaster.
        Therefore, today I want share two interesting, smart and useful photographic functions to you. The HDR and Model photography.

<Body>
        First, what HDR(High-Dynamic range)? Please look this example-the sunset. Some parts are too dark to be recognized. And next one is the same scene with HDR function. Basically, HDR can adjust and balance the brightness of our picture. So you can see the dark part become brighter and clearer.
When we are using HDR, our camera does not take only one picture. Actually, it takes 3~5 pictures and each picture was taken in different exposure value. Then, our cell phone will find out the best part of each picture and combine them together. Here is an example.
        So, when do we need use HDR? Just like the sunset, when you got a picture with highly contrast. And another similar situation is backlit. Like this picture.
   When should we not use HDR? If the highly contrast or backlit are the effects you want. Then you just don't need it. Or when something is moving, then you shouldn't use it, Because it will make your pictures look like ghost shadowing.
        The second item is Model photography. Basically, it can make our pictures look like models and toys. Here are some examples. The Model effect is related to one thing - the depth of field. Our camera will try to simulate the effect about the depth of field in a specific area of pictures. And it will also increase the brightness to let it look more clear and fake.
    How to get a better effect of Model photography? First, just try to find a higher place to take pictures. Second, stand as far as you can. That's the point.

<Conclusion>

        Finally, I want to thank Jonathan to let me have the chance to touch and learn basic photography. Because I had never played it before. This is really interesting to me and broaden my horizons. I hope you all can enjoy and record the happy moment in your life. Thank you. Toastmaster.
